Tabitha chili

This dream left more of a feeling than anything else with me. Very hard to describe. I do remember being in a house that had a very uneasy feeling. Not haunted, per se, but felt very uneasy. Tabitha, a girl I loved is there, and we're eating chili, and we're all super snuggly. We fall asleep in front of the TV. I wake up a short time later to find that I'm on the opposite side of the room, and she's passed out, fallen off of her chair with, what appears to be, chili vomit all over. The TV is just static and snow now. I crawl over, and rub her arm and try to elicit information from her. She's either very reluctant to give information, or very incapable of it. The dream ended with me still rubbing her arm, both of us sobbing, me telling her it will be alright. Then I woke up. Things went downhill from there. I kid, I kid. If things went downhill from there, I need a new job.

Dentist Dangeresque

I just woke up, and it's too early to stay up... when you went to bed a little less than six hours ago, but I wanted to get this dream out of me before it went away.

I dreamt that I had these crazy vampire teeth, but my canines were loose and in the process of falling out. I got the impression that it had been an ongoing and losing battle, in fact, it seemed like that was the case with most of my teeth. They were freely falling out, but some still had nerves barely tethering them in there. This time, however, my teeth came out and stayed out.

So I was taken to the dentist. I had to wait for quite a long time to get processed and spent a lot of time in the waiting room. I finally go in the back, and she's giving me all these bizarre extremely uncomfortable directions about how to sit. While she's talking, I watch the wall to my right begin to dissolve. I was on the phone with my boss telling him why I wasn't going to be at work today, and I hear gunshots through the dissolved wall. I watch a car speed by shooting in the direction of the dentist and myself. I tell my boss, “I think I'm in the middle of a driveby. Call the cops.” I hang up and watch the dentist run farther inside the building, disappearing completely.

I hear the gunners turn around and prepare for a second pass. I hope off of the chair and throw myself up against a wall, and this whole time the dentist's office was slowly dissolving into your standard alleyway. I'm pressed against the wall, and two of my friends, B and K are there, and the lesbian cop from Reno 911. The cars come around for a third pass, and I throw myself to the ground, and try to crawl closer to another part of the building, which turned out to be a house. I get hit by three bullets. One on each hand, and one in the side of my ribs, sort of like Jesus' wounds I suppose, though I don't know if that's the correlation.

So, I'm laying on the concrete in fake agony, when actually I'm thinking, “gunshot wounds don't hurt anywhere near as bad as I thought they would.” The cop comes over and starts assessing my wounds, and the cops show up right then. The Reno cop disappears, and I give the cops the story, starting with the dentist, ending with the description of the shooters and the car. The cops tell me to get to a hospital, and they'll get crackin'.

K and B tell me that they'll take me to a hospital... as soon as they get something to eat, because they're really hungry. Luckily, the house that we were huddled up against was really a mom and pop diner. We all go inside, and I sit in the little foyer style room, waiting for them to get their stupid food while I wait. I evaluate my injuries, and find that my hand's wounds look like minor bee stings, and my chest wound is gone entirely. I remember the lady cop telling me that she couldn't find my chest wound earlier.

I look up to check on K and B's progress, and I see that the cops are also eating at this diner, and so are the shooters. I pound on the glass to try and get B's attention, who's talking to the guy who seats you. B is ignoring me... the bastard. I start to go into a panic, and I'm not sure what to do. Just then the shooters are getting up to leave, and they walk into the foyer and see me pounding on the glass. The guy slaps me on the back and tells me not to take it so hard. It's hard to hear through that glass. Then he asks me some question I don't remember, but my response is that I shake his hand and say, “actually, I'm the guy you just shot.” He gets all wide eyed and him and his friend start booking it. I take off after them but they get in their car and drive away. I run inside and tell the cops that I just ran into my shooter, and they laugh and say, “and what kind of proof do we have of this? We just gotta take your word for it?” Then they laughed and told me to get a life, or something equivalent. I thought, “Son of a bitch. All I wanted was to get my teeth fixed.”

karaoke of the corn

so, friday night was my first night doing karaoke ever. it was pretty fun. in retrospect, i think my headbanging was stupid, and ultimately, kind of negatively affected by ability to sing, or whatever.

but, friday night, when i got home and went to bed, i had a strange dream about karaoke. one i'd forgotten about until tonight when i was driving home from church, though there was nothing to trigger the memory. it was a short, though fairly unsettling, dream.

i was singing my song, and i was done, and the people at my table were all clappin', yadda yadda, it's happy. as i went to sit down, however, this bizarre blonde girl (dreadlocks), who was ridiculously skinny, with these pail blue almost translucent eyes. she was standing there, just staring at me, so i said something doofy and asked her if i help her find anything, she just kept staring, so i kind of uncomfortable chuckled and sat down. i started talking with my friends, and i felt someone tap me on the shoulder, so i turned around, and there she was again, and there were more behind her that looked just like her, and i turned around, and i was completely surrounded. they all sat there, staring, not moving. that particular scene in my dream lasted several moments, and then i woke up.

allow me to apologize

for wasting your time. i had a dream about vampires last night, and it was fresh on my mind when i woke up, and i thought it'd be a good opening to my blog about dreams, but i didn't have time to type it this morning. unfortunately, i've forgotten it in my day at work. so that, perhaps, this won't be such a terrible waste, i'll give you the li'l nubbin's i remember.

1. i had been a vampire 6 times before (according to my dream).
2. i blacked out for a long period of time in my first trip out to get "lunch." i woke up right where i left, but things were different.
3. something about a wolf.

and to maybe further make your time less (or more) wasted, here's a snippet i remember from a dream i had a few weeks ago. so you understand, the events i'm about to relay aren't something i endorse, but i thought it... bizarre.

i was in this hellish landscape with my friend brandon, and we're surrounded by pigs. he says to me,

"it was a complete ripoff. i mean, i can get a bag of milk from a pig milked from a pig until it bleeds for ten dollars." i say to him,

"gross man. that's gross! i wouldn't use that!"

"i know! i know! me neither, but i was just saying. i mean, that's a lot of milk, right? you have to agree that that's a good deal for that amount of milk, right?"

"yeah... i guess so."

then i woke up.

this one's a classic: my friend kyle and i are about 12. the whole dream shows us in one position the entire time, never moving, from the waist up. we both have our hands on our hips, and we're looking down at something you can't see. we're having a an argument. kyle's words in capitals.

NO IT WON'T.

yes it will

DUDE, NO, IT WON'T.

dude! yes! it will!

NO IT WON'T.

whatever. you don't know. (just then something happens. i don't know what, but i smile.) see? told you it would. (and then i wake up)

thank you for letting me waster your time. no go do something productive.

first thing's first

what the hell is it? why the hell is it? well, dreams are fascinating, and it's been my experience that mine are the most fascinating of all. this is where i'mma tell them to you as they happen.
